Voting in Election

2020 Election

In 1965, African Americans would line up in lines a mile long for the prospect of casting their ballot in an election. The idea of voicing your opinion and enacting change seemed obtainable with large numbers. During this next election, I charge us with the task of getting one friend registered to vote in the upcoming November election, and all future elections. Voting for your respective city Mayor will ensure a Police chief of Good Faith.

Black Wall Street - Tulsa, Oklahoma

In the early 1900s, African Americans understood the newly formulated stock market and had begun to flourish within the Tulsa Community. America has come to recognize this area as "Black Wall Street". However, this too did not last long as in 1921, Tulsa Oklahoma fell victim to racial injustice.

Stagnation

It is at this point that we as a people have remained. To have worked so hard at building ourselves up, only to have its entirety destroyed has left a hole in the Heart of the African American. We must remove this image from our minds as "Black Wall Street" was only step one. Are we ready to move on to Step2?
